Device Grading Conditions

  • Cosmetic:
    Lid – Very minor wear may be present. No defined or indented scratches. No discoloration. No cracks. No paint peel. No dents.
    Case – Very minor wear may be present. No defined or indented scratches. No discoloration. No cracks. No paint peel. No dents. No damage to USB ports, A/C port, network ports, optical drives or panels.
    Keyboard / Mouse Pad / Palm Rest – No defined or indented scratches. No discoloration. No cracks. No dents. No missing keys. No Missing Plastics.
    Screen – No defined or indented scratches. No screen burn. No cracks. No separation. Screen bezel intact and in good condition.

    Technical:
    Internal – Full functionality of all key components (RAM, HDD, CPU, motherboard, network cards, video cards, optical drives). Battery is present and confirmed operational. No electronic asset tags present. All BIOS and Administrative passwords removed.
    Screen – Fully functioning, bright, all pixels present, panel adjustment working properly.

  • Cosmetic:
    Lid – Minor wear and tear. Indented scratches may be present at 1” or less. Non-indented scratches are present. Very minor discoloration may be present. No cracks. No paint peel. No dents.

Cracks, dents and paint peel may also be present. Physical damage may be present around, but not affecting the functionality of, USB ports, A/C port, network ports, optical drives or panels.
    Keyboard / Mouse Pad / Palm Rest – Major wear or scratches may be present. Discoloration. Small cracks may be present around edges. Minor dents may be present on palm rest. Paint peel may be seen. Keyboard shows signs of significant wear, including illegible keys due to wear. No missing keys.
    Screen – Minor scratches may be present, including indented scratches measuring less than 1”. Minor screen burn, ghosting or shadows may be seen. No cracks. Screen bezel intact but minor screen separation may be present.

    Technical:
    Internal – Full functionality of the following key components (RAM, CPU, motherboard, network cards, video cards). Battery may or may not be present. Hard drive may or may not be present. Optical drives may or may not be present.
    Screen – Screen shows signs of dimming, pixilation may have occurred, no lines on screen, panel adjustment working properly.

  • Cosmetic:
    Lid – Significant wear and tear exists. Lid is cracked. Plastics are missing.
    Case – Significant wear and tear exists. Components, plastics or panels are missing. Substantial cracks or dents are present. Damage is present to USB or A/C ports preventing proper functionality.
    Keyboard / Mouse Pad / Palm Rest – Significant wear and tear exists. Keys are missing. Major cracks are present. Paint is missing and major dents are present. Keyboard is missing. Bezel is missing. Palm rest is missing.
    Screen – Cracked screen. Lines through screen. Missing screen. Missing screen bezel.

    Technical:
    Internal – Missing or damaged key components (RAM, CPU, motherboard, network card, video card may be missing or damaged). Battery may or may not be present. Hard drive may or may not be present. Optical drives may or may not be present.
    Screen – No video, major pixilation, lines on screen, panel adjustment not functioning properly.

  • Once you submit the information about your device(s) and condition, you’ll receive a quote based on the information provided. If equipment is received in a condition different than submitted at the time of the quote, you will be contacted with a new quote that can be accepted or rejected. If the new quote is rejected your equipment will be sent back to you.

  • Peripherals such as chargers, type covers for tablets, etc. are preferred and will increase the amount of the quote you receive.

  • For small quantity device trade-in:

    You’ll receive boxes and return labels to pack devices and bring a a drop off location.

    For larger quantity device trade-in:

    A representative will contact you to coordinate retrieval from your facility. This includes any logistics including but not limited to proof of insurance, designated loading areas, truck size requirements, etc.

  • Please transfer your data and/or back up any data you need from your equipment. Data left on the device(s) will be wiped and no longer available.
